Ingredients
- 1 box of chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup of buttercream frosting
- Black food coloring
- Candy eyeballs
- Black licorice laces
Instructions
- Prepare the chocolate cupcakes according to the package instructions and let them cool completely.
- Tint the buttercream frosting with black food coloring.
- Frost the cupcakes with a thin layer of black frosting.
- Using a piping bag fitted with a fine round tip, pipe concentric circles on top of the cupcakes, starting from the center and working outward.
- Use a toothpick to draw lines from the center to the edges to create a spiderweb pattern.
- Place candy eyeballs in the center of each cupcake.
- Cut black licorice laces into short pieces and insert them into the frosting to create spider legs.
